I don't think this is old news. I think they just start selling em.... anyways, they're absolutely gorgeous. I don't have any clue what most of the buttons and knobs do, but I want one.

ehh its nice and all... i like the allen and heath stuff but its somewhat limited as far as controlling ableton the way i like to. The buttons, faders, and knobs control the mixer and clip fireing within ableton. the bottom buttons with the red lighting around them are the cue selects... Basically the mixer works to control Ableton up to audio 8 channels (8 volume faders, 8 sets of eqs, 8 cues)....the buttons are setup to fire clips or tracks within each channel... Its all stuff that you can do with other less pricey midi controllers. The way have have my Ableton rig setup i can do all that and more... i have full control over 8 different VSTfx as well in my setup... where with this setup you would need a seperate midi controller to do that. The cool thing about this is the fact that the center section is just a standard A&H phono/line mixer... so you can integrate vinyl/cds with it as well, but still its something you can do anyways without such a device. Its a very pricey option for how limited it is when you are talking about Ableton. But thats not to say i wouldn't take one if i could afford it. lol Its cool for the main functions of ableton for sure... but i'd definatly have a second or even third controller for Ableton.
