Biography:

Mike Tessai found Drum & Bass in 1997 but remained off the radar until a quintessential niche was forged in New School Breaks with a record off the Moonshine label. Between the roof deck of Club Clearview and the Lost Arts Warehouse in 2003 a stage presence was set with an uncanny ability to reciprocate energy response from a crowd. It was nothing but breaks during residencies at Uropa, Ecco Lounge & Club ONE with DJ collective Gravity Defiant in 2004 that opened doors to successful events featuring Simply Jeff & Frankie Bones.It was those early pioneers that have influenced performances from Tessai in Shreveport, LA. and at the 2007 Santa Fe Muzik Festival. The Dallas artist were featured along with Rabbit in The Moon who he saw for the first time on new years eve of 1999 at the DMC warehouse. In parallel to becoming Gravity Defiant, planning of a Dallas release was underway for a CD entitled "Blue Print" with a second release organized in Tulsa, OK. Record shops nationwide distributed the album while others featured the mix on various streaming websites including RadioioBEAT.com (Orange Park, FL) Since then Tessai has been a featured guest on radio stations 102.1 The EDGE, 89.3 KNON and webcast from Proton Radio then gained international recognition from After Shock Radio (Gloucester, UK).
