Thread: For the DJs who play music at events outside.

For the DJs, according to Texas Penal Code 42.11 c 2

"a noise is presumed to be unreasonable if the noise exceeds a decibel level of 85 after the person making the noise receives notice from a magistrate or peace officer that the noise is a public nuisance."

Be sure you get your warning first.

For San Antonio, this is the section on noise:

San Antonio, Texas, Code of Ordinances >> PART II - CODE >> Chapter 21 - OFFENSES AND MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS >> ARTICLE III. - NOISE >> DIVISION 1. - GENERALLY

Tho from my experience from the few parties I've been to that have been shut down for noise...it was usually after they came back around the 3rd or 4th time.
